Meet the Willow Grove Team

My name is Keylee Kohler; I am the Executive Director here at Willow Grove Childcare & Learning Center. I recently moved to the area in April of 2020. I have thirty years of experience in the child care field. I hold Early Childhood Degree, a Level 4 Early Childhood Education Credential, a Level 4 Infant and Toddler Credential, a Level 1 Director Credential, and Level 1 Family Advocate Credential. I previously owned a licensed home daycare for twenty years outside the Carthage area. I also was the Site Supervisor for the last two years and Family Advocate for the last year at a Head Start Program. I am a mom to three adult children and a grandparent to seven grandchildren and one on the way. I look forward to getting to know each any every child and family that comes into the Willow Grove Childcare & Learning Center.

My name is Annissa Abston; I am the Assistant Director at Willow Grove Childcare & Learning Center. I was born and raised in Keokuk, Iowa and recently moved to the Carthage area in July of 2022. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Administration with a specialization in Child Development. I am a former owner of an accredited in-home childcare business. I ran this business for 13 years and have taught preschool and kindergarten. I have more than twenty years of experience in childcare and early childhood education which includes being a mother of seven and a grandmother of 11. I have been happily married for the last 23 years. My passion is to teach children and to help each child reach their fullest potential. I look forward to working with you and your family.
